So, here we are, at the 30th SLUK! I, eto nas na tridesetom SLUK-u! Half of that period, even a bit more, I had a chance to see, to experience, to survive… We’ll see what happens next.. Still, I hope that I will , as a carefree spectator, like one of the two old men from the box of the most famous puppet show – the Muppet show, be present and complain grumpily, patronize and ridicule all the while grunting how better was everything before… on many, many SLUKs. Because, after my first one, I got addicted and I don’t want to have a withdrawal. Regarding history, significance and beauty of this biggest event for Croatian puppetry, many others can speak way better and more than me, so let them speak. Nevertheless, I will say that the festival has left a deep impact on me, not only because of good performances and gatherings, but also because it is the one place where you can find so much love for the art of puppetry. Finally, my dear colleagues, the young and everybody else,treasure and preserve SLUK because it is original and unique.
